Gleadhraich is a 4 piece band from Dundee, Scotland. Gleadhraich formed in 2010 as students at Carnoustie High School, performing one track together at a charity concert for Level 8 Projects. The response and the buzz the band got from playing together was so great that the band decided to make it a permanent thing. The band began to hit the live scene in 2011 having built a repertoire together and received some great responses.

Since then the band have performed at some major events and festivals playing on bills alongside Dougie Mclean, Jai McDowall, Elaine C Smith, Skerryvore, Donnie Munro, Twin Atlantic and playing in front of major crowds as well as spearheading Dundee’s City of Culture bid and playing for the London 2012 Olympic Torch and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton.

Gleadhraich were awarded the Angus Cultural Ambassadors Award in November 2013 and as a result went on to release their debut EP, ‘Pipe Dreams’ in April 2014. Since then Gleadhraich released their Glasgow 2014 single, Skirling Ska, and their follow up EP ‘Where We’re From”.
